He's very what I like to call "life-work" balance. He consistently:
Encourages us to protect our personal time (use our PTO).
Celebrates our wins professionally AND personally, no matter how small.
Encourages us to ask questions.
Makes sure we have the resources we need to get our work done.
LISTENS!!!
Before he was my leader he worked with us as a senior level individual contributor. He had no problem being with us in the trenches from day 1. When my old leader moved on, I told him when they were assigning us our new leader that if I was to report to anyone BUT him I was jumping ship (not really but I was definitely going to look).
